About us
Bates & Co was established by Brian Bates in 1990 following 17 years spent as Finance Director of a number of successful companies.
His desire was not only to utilise his experiences to the benefit of small and medium sized businesses, but to deliver it with a caring and proactive style.
This philosophy has obviously worked. Now, after year on year growth, Bates & Co are housed in modern business premises on the thriving Battlefield Enterprise Park in Shrewsbury. From this central base we are able to conveniently serve all our clients throughout Shropshire, the Welsh Borders and the West Midlands.
Although we are still a relatively small practice, we recognise that the business needs of today’s clients are much more demanding than they once were.
We have therefore established a highly qualified team still led by Managing Director Brian Bates FCA, but with the support of senior associates Amy Telford ACCA and Danielle Harvey ACCA, and backed by an enthusiastic and skilful team.
